Since August 2024, the Newberry Country Land Stewards and it’s partners have removed more than 1,000 cubic yards of trash, more than 32 abandoned RVs, and countless propane tanks, pallets, and shopping carts — over 1,700 volunteer hours.
In 2026 we have completed 4 cleanups so far with one coming up on October 10!
Thank you to Republic Services, Deschutes Solid Waste, the City of La Pine, Deschutes County Sheriffs Office, Midstate Electric Co-op Roundup, the Roundhouse Foundation, and every business and volunteer. Learn more here.
To join the October 10, 2026 cleanup – please register by October 8.
