Newberry Country Land Stewards

Announces 2025 Public Lands Cleanup Schedule

Our local community group is organizing our first cleanup event of the year on Saturday, May 10th. We’re really excited about the level of support we’ve already secured – the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will be providing personnel, trucks, and trailers, and Republic Services has generously offered to supply dumpsters and lunch for all the volunteers.

We’ve identified a likely cleanup location and are waiting on final approval from the BLM. Please RSVP and we will provide further details regarding the location of the next cleanup.

We aim to bring together concerned community members, like yourself, not only to help us tackle these projects effectively but also to foster a strong, united network of community-minded individuals who are passionate about our public lands.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible difference in our community, connect with other like-minded individuals, and showcase your commitment to responsible land stewardship.

Thank you Shannon Shahan, Shawn Beach, Michael Gobler, Jon Ebner, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Bureau of Land Management, Republic Services, Public Land Stewards, and High Lakes Christian Church for your commitment to this project.
