South County Collaborative
The South County Collaborative (SCC) is a nonprofit community organization in La Pine and Sunriver, Oregon, focused on improving student success through mentorships, family engagement, tutoring, mental health services, and other initiatives.
Focus: The SCC aims to create long-term, sustainable solutions to improve student success and graduation rates in southern Deschutes County.
- Partnerships: The SCC is supported by the Sunriver Women’s Club (SRWC) and collaborates with local non-profit organizations, schools, hospitals, clinics, public agencies, and individuals who work with students.
- Funding: The SCC receives funding from grants, like the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) grant, and through fundraising efforts, such as the Sunriver Women’s Club’s “Power of Giving for Education” campaign.
- Launch and History: The SCC was launched with support from the Sunriver Women’s Club (SRWC) and was founded in response to a need to improve student success and graduation rates in the La Pine and Sunriver area.
