Newberry Regional Partnership (NRP) in partnership with the Oregon State Fire Marshal, La Pine Fire District, Walker Range, Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council, Central Oregon Fire Prevention Coop, Project Wildfire, Upper Deschutes River Communities and other national, state and local agencies, organizations and businesses presented the “Wildfire Preparedness Fair”, Saturday, April 26, 9am-12pm, at the La Pine Park and Recreation Community Center.
Information from this program empowers residents and businesses to mitigate the consequences of wildfires.
Action Team Leader Monte Dammarell commented :
“The Wildfire Preparedness Fair was a great success, delivering the importance to be prepared when wildfire occurs to approximately 150-200 concerned citizens. We know complacency is not an option”
